FALCONI emerged from the Christiano Ottoni Foundation, at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, which started a Total Quality movement in the 1980s with help from the Japanese Union of Scientists and Engineers (JUSE).
The need to expand operations to meet the huge demand from companies seeking management consulting and aspiring to new levels of results led to the creation of the Foundation for Managerial Development (FDG) in 1998.
In 2004, the FDG began working exclusively on non-profit projects, providing services to needy organizations, and the Institute for Managerial Development (INDG) was founded. The INDG has become leader in results-driven management consulting in Brazil. As of October 2012, the company was renamed FALCONI Consultants for Results.
